Privacy policy.
Effective October 26, 2026. This policy describes the website as it operates at launch. Contact: Fretcy, [email protected].
What this site stores in your browser
The comparison tool stores the identifiers of products you select in your browser’s local storage under the key “whatbuy-compare”. This allows the shortlist to persist between pages and visits. The site does not transmit that shortlist to us. You can clear it by removing selections or clearing this website’s storage in your browser. If storage is blocked, comparison remains available for the current page session where possible.
Emails you send
The contact links open your email application. If you email us, we receive the address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond, handle corrections, and maintain related correspondence. Do not send sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your question. Requests to delete correspondence can be sent to the same contact address, subject to applicable recordkeeping needs.
Hosting and third-party resources
The hosting provider may process technical request data such as IP addresses, request times, and browser information to deliver and protect the site. Fonts may be requested from Google Fonts; those requests disclose ordinary connection information to that provider. Browser and hosting behavior may vary with your privacy settings. See Google’s privacy policy.
Reference links
Some journal articles link to educational, historical, regulatory, or privacy references. Those websites have their own privacy practices. Product pages do not link to merchant listings or checkout pages. We do not receive purchase or payment information.
Advertising and analytics
No Google AdSense advertising code or audience analytics tracker is installed at launch. If we introduce advertising or analytics, we will update this policy and implement the disclosures and consent controls applicable to the actual services and visitor regions before using them. A change to the commercial model will also be reflected in our commercial disclosure.
Your choices
You may browse without creating an account, block third-party requests through browser settings, clear local storage, and choose whether to email us or visit external links. Contact Fretcy for questions about information you have sent directly to us.
